Rock guard frame but no window

I have the rock guard frame but I don't have window. What does the orginal guard look like? I think the dark tinted rock guards look ugly and it looks like originally it was a different color from the pieces that are left.

In my opinion

If you don't like the dark tinted window….You really won't like the yellow discolored plastic that was on many of the older trailers.

What did the rock guard look like when new? In 1973.

The ones I saw were kind of corrugated, I am guessing for strength, and raised so they wouldn't touch the glass. It's quite possible that the ones I saw were after market , because I can't find pictures of them.

I thought they took away from the look of the trailer.

I have the wrap around vista windows in front, and the tinted guards look great. Some friends thought that I got a new trailer, when I got them put on. In the daytime you can't see in the trailer but you can see out.

The 63 has fiberglass natural. It is flaking off. The 77 and 89 has the dark tinted plexiglass. I think they are cool shades.

On our 64 Safari, I am using corrugated polycarbonate panel from Home Depot. They have it in smoke, a bluish (kinda purple) color. and a plastic material in green and white. We also had the fiberglass panel from the factory. 51 years old and it was done. The corrugations are a little taller and longer than the original, but it is going to look great with the newly polished frame.
