Replacing window protector cam lock screws

Has anyone replaced those half turn fasteners from the wrap around window rock guards? My DH wants to change them and finds them a real pain to use.

That fastener is called "Dzus"

It's common in the aircraft industry.

Can you post a photo of which fastener you have?

Most any aircraft repair shop will have them.

Or call Aircraft Spruce.

this sorta depends on era of stream....

for the last 30 years (maybe more)

the cam screw wheel mentions is referred to as a...

'turn fast stud' by a/s....

looks like this is but one vendor,

Quick Access Fasteners | Southco

((see the first window with 'quarter turn' fasteners...))

and the a/s parts store has them IN STOCK, or did recently.

some texas dealers might have them or could order them 4 ya.

Does anyone know the window protectors manufacturer name. It is not written on the protector and we no do live close to a A.S. dealer. Thanks for your help

They are called "DZUS" fasteners.
