Hey Bob, Do yours have the strip of self ashesive on them? I've used those before on exterior home pipes. The sun does do a number on them though, have to re-wrap every few years.

I do like the idea of the noodles for the awing braces, Thanks Mexray.

Could be used for open windows as well I guess.

I addressed this problem several years ago by just "working" with the rock shield aluminum framing. The factory makes no effort to "conform" the shields to the body but the shields (on my 2002 ASCL 31') can be carefully bent to perfectly conform to the body if one wants to spend the time (took me about 1 hour each). My shields OEM rubber seals now press against the body around their ENTIRE perimeter.

An added benefit of this tight seal is that it creates an insulative "dead air space" for these front windows which helps in cooling and heating.

Unreal, I just thought my solar rock guards were the wrong size or something...Great fix and good to know I am not the only one with the issue. I kept looking at the connection points (installed by PO) and thought "Well, that is the only way he could have done it, so what the heck is wrong...?"

I might also point out that there are not many "solutions" offered up to problems on this site that are this cheap!
Thanks!! But I have to admit, the title to the post drew me in, and this was not what I expected. You got me...
