Try Amazon.com and search for Enkay. I saw a price of $206.55, shipping extra. Mrtruck.net and the Enkay factory has them for $229.50 plus shipping. Shipping weight is 42 lbs.

Aluminaut made the same mistake I did trying to "punch" the rubber out. After I messed up what I thought was a punch, I re-read the instructions and saw that it was intended to be used as a drill bit. I ended up using a spade bit, but it wasn't much fun.

Good catch PMCLEMORE
Well … er... aaaa… , I guess if you’re supposed to READ every word in the instructions, they do imply that the useless punch device is maybe, supposed to be, used in a drill.
And besides, as shown in the accompanying figure, having a serious, REAL 3/8” craftsman drill bit beats out a “hollow”, “half dull”, “give away” bit that didn’t even fit in my drill chuck when I tried it tonight. So overall, I am still pleased with the way I put it together.
I do hope Abe ( VAJEEP) gets to improve on all the “methods” tried by the pioneer users of the Enkay Rock Tamers.

It would have been a better catch if I had caught it before I messed up the drill. Sure looked like a punch, though.
I love the flaps. The only downside is that they are heavy (which is also a good thing for functionality). I remove them every time I unhitch, 'cause I don't like driving around with all that freight hanging out the back end of my truck. But the first time I rode through some fresh tar-and-rock I was greatly pleased knowing that my prized AS was not going to come out speckled.
I am looking forward to going to AK one of these days, and reconciled to losing windshields but not damage to what is important.

I forgot all about Cabela's, one of my favorite places to throw money to. I think you will enjoy the Rock Tamer. They sure gave me piece of mind.

if you are planning to purchase the nk rock tamers......don't wait.
i was somewhat hesitant until i saw silvertinkies upclose and realized how well made and 'airstream worthy' they were....by then i had 6-8 weeks of travel on the new trailer and 10-15 dings in the new higher stainless guards.....these didn't happen during travel on gravel, but rather from travel at highway speeds when gravel is propelled out of the tire treads.....many days/weeks after imbedding the gravel in the tires.
i had hensley ship me the lengthed shank setup so no mod of the brass nk was required.
as good at the nk's are, there is still a gap above them on the higher 4x4s (like the ford 250/350) so i also installed wheel well mud flaps for more complete protection.....after the horse was out of the barn.
so just don't wait for 6 weeks BEFORE deciding to add the flaps.....
cheers

Just got the Enkay
Just got our Enkay rock tamers this weekend.
I hope to put them on this week. I checked and my Enkay will fit (snugly) on my Hensley stinger.
Any mounting hints??

I noticed that there is corrosion from the differing metals where the rod holding the flap goes into the hub unit. It is easy to clean up but was wondering if there was something out there to keep this from occuring?

holes
When I used the hole "punch" they supplied in my drill it was still very difficult to get it to cut the tough rubber. I took a screw driver, stuck it in the tip of the hole cutter to nick and rough up the edge of the cutter so it was burred. That seemed to do the trick and I was able to cut the holes quickly. I did have to keep burring the cutter though. I also had mine shaved at a fabricator to fit on the Hensley.

Thanks to all of you that replied and posted pictures of your mudflaps and the modifications made to fit the hub. We received ours last Thursday and got them milled just enough to fit the Hensley. We were in Hershey, PA this weekend and they worked great parking on the gravel site.
Now we are waiting for the SmarTires to arrive...that should be fun to do.

Emergency brake cable
How do you all route the electrical and the emergency brake cable?
I have had the e-brake pull out when I was turning...
I would be interested in how you all routed around the Rock tamers and left enough slack for the Hensley but kept the electrical cord out of the way.
I am thinking some "bungie" cord , but would like to see how you all have solved this challange.
Thanks!

for my set up
I have “threaded” the emergency cable thru a loose wire tie loop that is around receiver tube where the Hensley draw bar enters it. The end of the cable is hooked to wire loop that goes behind the license plate and then to a connection on my frame, not the hitch receiver.
As the cable leaves the E switch, I also guide it straight toward the tow vehicle by having the cable guided by about 3 inches of tygon tubing that passes over the middle of the trailer ball lock down.
This seems to center the movement of the cable away from the hensley and thru the rock tamer area.
Hope your E cable experience didn’t do too much to your nerves or rig.

I run the cable alongside the right hand side of the license plate on my 2500hd and the bumper. It then runs straight down and the loop on the end is secured to the hook/link at the end of the chain. The mudflaps are out enough so that they do not interfere with the main electrical cable to the trailer.
