Liz and Brian,
Its a cool and wet day here in Fort Smith, Arkansas so I have had time to read and enjoy all five pages of your posts. Liz you have some great ideas!
We have a 25ft 2008 Safari. We bought It new and have really enjoyed it.
I wish you continued safe travels.
The trailer is in the driveway, the fridge is cooling and we're preparing to hit the road on Monday - after we get the flat tire fixed on the trailer - it seems the valve stem is broken. The tire place is 1.5 miles away so we're traveling on one tire on that side (Thanks to the tour of The AS Factory at Jackson Center where we learned that the trailer CAN travel on one tire on a side if necessary for a short distance).
We stowed all the stuff that had been stored in totes - absolutely zero rodent evidence! Yay! The aluminum wool did the trick!
One thing we noticed is that the vinyl on the floor has a buckle in the trailer.....it's just inside the entry door and in the kitchen.....I've wanted to install cork for flooring - this might be the opportunity that I need to 'make that happen'!
Brian has a new job (finally) which has 8 hr days with weekends and holidays off (vs. working 12 hr shifts at night and working weekends and holidays) so I'm thinking we'll be able to do more outings in the trailer at last!
We hope to see you on the road! Safe travels!

Palmgirls post: "On my trailer, there were 2 or 3 minor leaks near the bottom and BOTH opening panoramic windows leaked - it seems they are not touching the gaskets! (as I suspected). "
We had the same problem. Beside tightening the window, added weep holes to prevent the window channel from filling w water and leaking into the exterior wall as it had previously. Check your floor for soft areas, especially under the lounge. We have extensive pics showing floor repairs. Took out thin vinyl and replaced w new flooring.
We have added 5 drawers to the rig and enlarged the drawer under the short bench. One at the bottom of the drawer group in br, under fridge, under lounge, under oven and under bank of drawers in kitchen. Ducts, wires and other objects were secured and areas insulated as we went. We put dividers in upper cabinets in kitchen and bath to keep in place. Added shelves to the larger closet. Added cabinet for Zip Dee chairs behind short lounge, removing bolster and cutting back bench.
We had a micro/conv under cooktop, removed and replaced w range w oven. Placed micro under TV & DVD.
