re: LOVINGTAHOE, I've got a 2007 Rubicon with the V6 engine & manual transmission. The Wranglers from 2007 and on have a V6 with more HP rather than the old inline 6 of the previous models. The Rubicon also has a different drive train than the STD Wrangler (dana 44's rather than dana 30's and lower gearing). Also the suspension components of the Rubicon are heaver duty than the standard Wrangler. Week-end before last I drove to Vegas from L.A. via the I-15 over the El Cajon pass. Didn't seem to have any problem pulling the 17' Safari Sport.

You can squeeze by the extended bed platform and use the door but it is tite.

I like the 22 SS layout better but it is just a little too long.

No real problems so far but I have not used it much. Some minor issues: I have one rough edge to a panel and I can see a sliver of day lite at the wheel wheel under the closet. The amount of aluminum chips and saw dust on and in the trailer would have been unexpected but I have read here it is fairly common. I have the trailer stored inside my shop and have been running electric space heater with the windows cracked to get rid of the nasty new trailer smell, I all so flushed all the chem treatment from the holding tanks as I will be dumping and flushing the tanks after every weekend.

Another tip, don't leave the key in the door, I have my first dent from doing that and leting the door swing against the door cath

I'm really happy with the trailer

PS: I used Ice wax ,a newer turtle wax product to wax the trailer and liked it. you can run the wax over the plastic with out leaving the white residue. Also the awning was a major trap for a ton of the alumium chips I would use an air compressor to dust the top if I buy another new trailer.

PPS: Oh yeah the tear drop lights all have water inside them, which is stupid, I would say that is my only real complaint. I want to replace them with sealed LED lamps but have not found a direct repacement.

That's, as we say in the software business .. an undocumented feature!

Once you get all of the scrap metal and sawdust out, you'll have another 200-300 lbs of carrying capacity.

This is a long understood problem. I think Silvertwinkie & Lewster worked out the fix. cosmotini has done it. I've done it. Filling up with water is so *@#*&$(#*& common that you'd think the factory would inform their supplier. The screws are only chromed steel and will rust anyway. Take a screw out -- it's metric and you need to find a stainless steel equivalent. The ones I found are almost a quarter inch longer than what was in there but it worked anyway. Find o-rings to fit, slide one up on the SS screw & reinstall. You'd want to dry out the teardrop enclosure first of course.
