Remove the filter before using the antifreeze. I was nervous about that, but there's a valve that closes automatically when the filter is removed. Otherwise you'd have to depressurize and partially drain the system when it comes time to change the filter. When I removed the filter I found a battery (watch type) taped to it. It is supposed to be installed somewhere and I think it lets you know when the filter is used up. The instructions never say where it goes. Maybe you'll solve that one.
Glad you enjoyed your trip and made it there and back between storms. We're off to Santa Fe in a couple of days.
