Which Dill TPMS sender unit for SenDel T03-66655T wheels

I will be ordering the SenDel T03-66655T wheels as optionally factory installed on the Eddie Bauer models.

The Dill TPMS website has two different diameter stems for their pressure/temperature senders:

the smaller diameter is 0.453"

the larger diameter is 0.625"

Has anyone installed the Dill TPMS system on the SenDel wheels and which valve stem diameter did you utilize?

Did you order the four or the six sender system (so one could be installed in the spare and have a spare sender on hand)?

Spoke to AS Factory tech support in the past few days and he told me that the wheels they supply are .453 valve stems.

Did you purchase/install the Dill? I am considering this product and your feedback would be appreciated.

The SenDel T03-66655T wheels I ordered arrived at a local Discount Tire in Mesa, AZ. I will be back there and see the actual wheels on Thursday, 8 August with a measuring device in hand. Once I have verified the opening for the valve stem, and if it is not 0.453"or 0.625", I will give Dill tech support and inquire about Plan B given the actual hole size.

I just received the production start date (9 January 2014) and completion date (15 January 2014) along with the VIN number. So the Michelin LT 225/75R16E tires will be ordered to arrive at the end of January so they are as fresh as possible for installation when the trailer arrives in Mesa.

I will also install the Centramatics that just arrived and hopefully the Dill TPMS system along with the tires and wheels. I will post my experience at that time.

Just had the Dill 1506-453 kit installed with the Michelin tires and Sendel 16" T03s w/ Black inserts [T03-66655BM]. The 1506 sets have the better monitor, which works great. To get this at Discount Tire, I had to order the 6 sensor set, which gives me an extra for the spare and one on hand for future use. However, it's real easy to set the monitor for 4 wheels.

Bought this setup 2 weeks ago, and have been on the road since. The TPMS monitor/setup provides a level of comfort and security unavailable with the factory setup. I think you'll find it very useful.

Got Dill on current wheels, REALLY pondering, no that's not a harsh enough word, WANT the 16's.

Other than the display on my Dill being "dated" looking I really like the internal approach and the internal temps you get.

I plan to check all five wheels for any damage or scratches and valve stem size before going out the door with them. At that point I will pay for the proper sized Dill TPMS system and have it come in when it does.

The 1504 (four sensors) system has an older display. Going to the 1506 (six sensors) system includes the newer #1900 display, which would be an almost $200 upgrade for the 1504 system.

The tech at Dill stated that each tire TPMS sensor has a matching chip to be installed into the display. He recommended not installing the spare tire chip in the display because the tire, hopefully, is not rotating in it's storage location, and it's tpms sender will time out after two minutes of no rotational signal and the display will generate a warning message. In the event of a tire problem that requires putting the spare onto the trailer, it only will take a few minutes to swap the chip out and reset the monitor to display the actual four tires on the ground.

I've been using the Dill 1504 for about 12,000 miles with my Michelins on a 25 FC. It is perfectly utilitarian and does a great job for me. I use the external antenna roof mounted on my 'Burb. The display is definitely not fancy, but how fancy does it really need to be? It reads each tire in rotation, and reports the pressure or temp in big numerals. Each tire gets about 4 seconds and then it goes to the next.

The combination of Michelin with AS wheel and Dill TPMS doesn't lose air. I think I lost about 3 pounds in 6 months of travel.

I g about 12,000 miles on my Michelin LT's and Sendel 16" wheels. Installed the Dill TPMS when the wheels/tires went on, and NO it isn't fancy, but it surely does work well. Even with the alarm set, I still glance at the monitor every once in awhile as it rotates from tire to tire reading pressure. Very interesting to watch the temps all drop a couple of weeks ago on I-81 in Virginia as I went through a huge thunderstorm and watch the wheel temps DROP. They really, really work.

Just checked my new SenDel T03-66655T wheels. The correct Dill TPMS system for six sensors and includes the #1900 display is 1506-453 and that part number (without hyphen) is in the Discount Tire inventory system for $350 plus tax.

So you are able to use the standard size sensors? (0.453")

What does the nicer 1506 display do that the 1504 display does not do?

Should be the same Dill #1900 display that has eight sockets.

Installation location needs to be carefully considered so it is not in direct sunlight. We had to use the included external magnetic mount antenna and put it on the rear Curt hitch. We had to lengthen the supplied coax cable with parts from Radio Shack.

In theory, I could have used just one display and switched it between the tow vehicles as the receiver plugs and tire senders could have had eight different letters of the alphabet. There would have been no spare capability unless I ordered ten or twelve different lettered senders and receiver ships.

Monday morning quarterbacking or hindsight is wonderful.

I thought about installing the Dill TPMS monitor in one of the 3 cupholders in the center console. I don't know why Toyota thinks everyone will have 2, 3, or 4 drinks each.

I think I have decided to forego the spare sensors- If you check the spare with a gauge at home before you start on your trip, it is not likely to go down just hanging around in the spare carrier-
The factory installed TPMS does on pickups does not include the spare- just the 4 that are on the ground-
I have a buddy with a fifth wheel who is trying to sell me on a different brand TPMS with monitors that screw to the valve stems.
May not get any TPMS or Centramatic balancers now. I'm spending quite a bit of money on this project. I've got ordered and on the way what I have to have to continue camping. I can get TPMS and Centramatic balancers later. As is, I am better off than I was with the 16" wheels, Load range E truck tires, and new chrome lug nuts- still a needed and beneficial upgrade-

I need to find a better way to mount the Dill #1900 display using the external antenna and the hard wire kit.
I can't deal with this wire dangling.
Hard to believe there is no smooth flat surface anywhere in this truck but the glass.
I guess another option would be a bean bag GPS mount.
