wheels for 1991 60th anniversary limited

I am looking for original equipment wheels for the 1991 60th anniversary limited 35 foot trailer. They were called Aerolace gold. Some owners replaced these because of a poor seal between the tire bead and wheel. Airstream advises they are no longer available from the manufacturer.

You might place your request in the classified section shown at the top of the page. Your audience would be much larger.

1991 hub caps.

I am looking for ONE of the 1991 60th Aniversary 34' Limited Edition hub caps.
I was also told these wheels are called "Aerospace Golds". I have the set of 6 wheels but am missing the one center flat "lug nut cover" or hub cap. If any one comes across one, let me know.

I am thinking that Big Jimmy & I both want to keep the original look if at all possible.

As for a poor seal between the bead and tire, use an inner tube or have the rims turned , very gently , on a lathe to true them back to shape. Only a very few thousands of an inch will need to be removed unless the wheel has beeen bent. But if bent, then it is junk anyway. Do not use a bent wheel , no matter what material it is mad of.....

Also new tires will seal a bead leak where an old tires have hardened the rubber bead area and are not as plyable to flling in the very small voids of an aluminum wheel.

Aerolace Gold Rims

I have six aerolace gold rims for a 35 foot 1991 60th anniversary Airstream edtion travel trailer. 4 have the center hub caps and 2 are missing the hub caps - otherwise the rims are in good condition. I reside in Colorado.

If interested contact me at nmannen@gmail.com

Thanks,
Jason.

Good luck Jason. Know that you are responding to a year and a half old thread.
