Wheel mounting stud ruined, Where to find replacement?

I just purchased 4 brand new tires (Cooper trailer tires). The worker who was installing the tires cross threaded one of the tire mounting studs. So now only 5 of the 6 nuts are holding the tire on. Does any one know where I can purchase a replacent stud ?. If I bring the right size stud into the tire store, they will replace it for me and remount the new tire. Do you think it's safe to run with just 5 of the 6 nuts holding the tire on? I drive 55-60mph mostly highway. I have a 1968 Land Yacht. The tire store already attempted to recut the bad threads on the stud but it didn't work.Appreciate your input.

should have a stud to match. however, you may need to remove the wheel assembly to correctly size a new one. the tire shop should do this for you at no charge.

go tell the dummy who wrecked your stud, to go back to flipping burgers and asking "would you like fries with that".

ps, don't tow it very far without repairing it. just to be safe!

The hub and drum assembly must be removed in order to replace the stud.

The old stud can be removed with a small press, or for that matter, a hammer.

The stud should be available from an auto parts store, but you will need the damaged one as a sample. The diameter and length of the spline, AND" the stud, are very important.

Installing a new stud is not that difficult. The new stud can be hammered into place, until it bottoms out. A final test would be to put the lug nut on, and tighten it to about 100 foot pounds or so. That will make sure the new stud, is properly and completely "seated."
