Wheel for '67 TW?

I just posted a classified looking for one more wheel that takes baby moons for our 67 Tradewind. We have three, and one that doesn't have clips.

Are these available for purchase somewhere? Is it safe to get used ones? I have no idea what I'm doing here. I'm painting my existing ones, probably black, maybe silver, I don't know. Here's a picture of what I have. Is there anything I should know?

Here are pictures, one is the baby moon capable one, the other is not. Diameter is 16.5 (at least that's what I got with my measuring tape).

Thanks for anything!

Aren't you missing something? Like the body of the trailer?

I do not believe wheels with the clips are available (new) anywhere. So you would have to get previously owned ones. Please inspect the used wheel for cracks, chips, broken welds or fractures of any type. If you want to go to the effort you could have the used wheels magnafluxed for issues. My trailer came with the wheels that had the clips. And I know all of the parts on my trailer are used. Some parts (not the wheels) were used up.

Haha, yes the body of the trailer is in the driveway up on sawhorses. Shell off...

Thanks for that info. All I need is one wheel!

I found a used wheel at an RV salvage place here in AZ.
Arizona R.V. Salvage Inc
They may be able to help if you can not find something local.

You mean like this one???

If you can't find one locally, shoot me a PM. You can have this one for whatever it costs to ship there. I'll get the tire removed before shipping. It's outside diameter is 16.5" (for 15" tire) and it has the clips for a baby moon. --dave

Karma Karma Karma Chameleon!

Ingrid, I was shocked by you sending me karma back points as it has now taken me over 700 karma points. I think once you reach 1000 points you can cash them in for on free drink of tap water from a hose near you! WOO HOO! Ed
