Wheel covers- what size?

Hi.

Anyone bought wheel covers for their 2004 Safari Bambi or CCD Bambi. Do you happen to know the size I might need? Camping World has them, just need to know what size to get.

I am going to invest in a couple of these this year for the winter months.

My AS is in a covered storage facility, but my space is at the end where the street-side is more exposed to the elements. It is a nice space though, and I have only one chance of ruining a 35' boat next to me. The other side is the support that holds up the canopie for the stoarage place.

My backing skills are real good. Slow. But good.

Action.

I need the tire (tyre) covers. I just needed to know the size I need for the Bambi, if someone had that info handy. My trailer is 33 miles away.

If not I'll contact AS.

I bought 27" to 29" covers for my bullet just about 6 months ago. I have an Overlander and the rims are 15". The diameter of the tire was 28" I forget the tire size. My Overlander is in storage too.

Bambi may have smaller tires, not sure.

Action an everyone.

Thanks for your replies.

If you own a 19' Int. CCD Bambi, and you need tire covers for your AS, then this is the size:

Camping World "Adco ULTRA TYRE GARD" NUMBER 3. These are the ones they sell for tire diameter of 27" to 29"

My guess is that they will fit most current non-ccd bambi's as well.

They fit well, and are easy to put on. I got mine in black.

I hope this helps.

Do we need tire covers? Do they prolong tire life? Is white or black better? Is there a better source or model than Camping World?

In Phoenix, my answer as to need is yes. In SF I would say may be. The amount of sun there isn't as great as here. You do get a fair share of clouds and fog. They will prolong the life of the tire as to UV (heat and sun) damage.

I prefer white. It does not absorb the heat. And black will block the UV just as well.

Better source? Do you mean cheaper? Faster to obtain? Or ???? I bought mine from an ebay seller. They have held up well for the 2nd summer.

For what it's worth, my tow vehicle (the van listed below) got new tires on Feb 2002. And I have clocked 19,000 in that time frame. I had two tire failures last month on my van. Both tires had failed due to the exposure of the sun. The remaining two were getting there. So I replaced all 4 tires. (My spare is on the outside and has always had a cover. Both black and white. It's still in good shape.) Those tires were never covered and had 10/32 tread left. The new tires for my TV are getting covers.
