What size spindle washer

In process of repacking bearings, I have misplaced a spindle washer. It is the tongue type with the small protrusion sticking inside (spindle has grove cut in it which the washer protrusion slides into).


Online, I can only find a 1" spindle washer, but the diameter of my spindle is closer to 3\4".

I am confused because everything I am reading online says I would need a 1" castle nut (which would tell me I'd need the 1" washer), but that wouldn't fit and my castle nuts are 3\4 (approx).

Also, all of the bearing kits online include the washer with the protrusion that sticks upward vs inward..


any help is greatly appreciated!

I found a Dorman 04993 Spindle Lock Nut Kit online that includes a 13/16" washer and castle nut.. maybe this is what I need?

maybe my spindle diameter is actually 7/8"? I measured quickly with a tape measure and got 3/4 but I know that wasn't precise. If it is 7/8, then would a 1" spindle washer work? I'd imagine it would be ok..

well, I found the washer! It was stuck to the old bearing.. go figure.. anyways, I'd still like to know where I can buy a replacement incase I ever do need one..
