What is this? Where do I get them?

Hi...

I can't do a search because I do not know what these things are called. The Silver center piece - extends out about 4".

Then, where do I get them?

I have hesitated takeing my maiden trip until I had the brakes checked out. Sure enough, everything was shot, including the drums. Found a member of the WBCCI South Florida chapter that does repairs for many of the members and he is doing the work this Saturday. Picked up all the parts and ready to go.

Then I decided I should replace this things as they are rusty and pitted. Since he will have all the wheels off, thought now is the time....

Then - off to Sarasota

Thanks !!

hi tom

the center chromed 'hub cover' is available from the factory...

they've got sizes for a variety of wheel/hub combos extending back...

many years.

the newer variety has a plastic base covered with 'bright trim' while yours appear to be metal...

cheers

The center hub covers are also available at most truck/trailer accessory stores. They come in different diameters and lengths so you need to take an old one with you to match it up. You will have to remove the wheel to get the old one off, as it pushes out from the front side.

They are usualloy called center caps, and can be gotten from many aftermarket sources, not just Airstream. They are available in chrome plated plastic, and chrome plated metal. I bought a set of 4 from Redneck Trailer Supply for about ten dollars each.

Thanks to all!! I found that Redneck Trailer Supply has a Tampa location, so if they ship them ground via Fed-x or UPS tomorrow I will get them Friday. Ground service within the state is next day. That would be a good thing!

There is a big RV show at the Palm Beach Fairgrounds starting tomorrow, so I will run up there early a.m. Never been to an RV show before.
