The wheels I had on my 76 Sovereign were removed and replaced with 16" zero offset rims.
I was told to get the numbers off the rim when I originally started researching this and only found the numbers in the pic above which I am wondering what they mean.
All four wheels have the same stamping and I am wondering if these are actually Airstream orginals or not?
Just wondering if anyone else with a vintage AS has these or similar numbers.
I just pulled up the above and saw they are hard to read in that pic. The number is 82 on left side of air valve and 00 on right side.
With alot of tire stuff, when you see a 4 digit number it usually stands for the year of manufacture and the week in that year it was made. That is what's on tires for a date code, does it mean the same thing on rims?
I purchased 3 new rims for my Caravel in 2006, they have a 0410 on the rim but not in the same location as yours.
So, maybe 1982 for the year and the first week for 00.

Make sure the new wheels have at least a 2600 pound rating.
