Valve stem size?

While shopping for metal valve stems I see that they come in different hole sizes. What size are the stem holes for Airstream 14 inch stock aluminum wheels used on the 2006 Safari 23?

I have only seen two sizes on consumer tires. 1/2 or 5/8. Any experienced tire guy can look at the mounted rim and determine the size.

Zil, thank you.
I was going to pre order the stems, guess I will drag the trailer over to my tire shop and let them deal with it tomorrow morning. I use the TPS tire monitors and after talking to them discovered that all metal stems are strongly recommended.

I agree metal stems strongly recommended. I use them on all equipment, trailers, trucks etc. I only use rubber stems on psgr. car

Michael, Have them install the metal valves, mount the TST sensor, and then have them spin balance the tires. They will need to add what was described by the Discount Tire guy that did mine last week, a "surprising" amount of weights. They did it on the inside so nothing shows. Also take a look at the lug nuts. If they are a nut that has a chrome cover on them consider replacing them with solid lug nuts. Anecdotal stories about the chrome cover working itself off and then the lug nut itself is a non standard size and you may not be able to get it off when needed.

My total last week at Discount Tire was $30 for the stems and balance. 24 lug nuts for $60. The guys at DT just rock in my book. Only place I use for tires and tire service. Asked them if they would do a rotation at some point and it was a smile and bring it on in. Great customer service.

Gary, thank you. I will have them do that. I recently replaced all the lug nuts with McGards.
