The Junkyard Wheel Story

Read the short story on the "JUNKYARD WHEEL." Go to inlandrv.com, click on articles, and then click on "THE STORY OF THE JUNKYARD WHEEL."

Don't let you or your family become victims.

P.S. Your Airstream won't like it either.

Andy,
Great story which everyone should see. New wheels are not expensive.

Also everone should inspect there wheels on a regular basis. Last year I had to replace one wheel on my '96 trailer which was developing radial cracks from the bottom edge of the triangle hole. This wheel had 4 equally spaced cracks around the wheel. Each crack was 3/4" to 1" long. I now inspect the wheels on the return from each trip. Just returned from Florida and when inspecting the wheels found another wheel starting to crack. Note both wheels still had the orginal load range C tires.

I also note Airstream changed the wheels from the triangle hole to a round hole mid year '96.
