Split-Rim Replacement for 1964 Overland
Hello Folks,
I just bought this unit on eBay. I will need to replace the rims and tires prior to moving the trailer. It has sat in the same spot since 1976. I have tried to gather as much information as possible, so that I could order new rims and tires. Please give me specifics on the wheels. Thank you so much.

Hi Judas, There is allot of info here. Try the search bar in the upper right side. I found this info here. Good luck with your new project. Most of all have fun.

Welcome, welcome, welcome!
Yes get those old splits off and start with some wheels that won't hurt anyone when they work on them.
Also I would recommend weighing your trailer when you get it moveable. Then you will have an idea of what you are towing.
Follow this link and you can find out what the factory thought it would weigh.

same wheels for '63?
Herb,
I just found this post - will these wheels be the same for my 63 Ambassador? I'm trying to find a spare wheel\tire, plus replacement tires. Our our original, and we've towed it 500 miles with no trouble, but I'd be more comfortable with replacing them.
Thanks!

They will work. I have the same wheel on my 63 Overlander and 63 Globetrotter. It may be overkill on a dual axle trailer as the sum of the weight ratings would be 10400# ( 4 x 2600#). You need a rim with these specs
15x6" ,0 offset, 6 on 5 &1/2 .
