Sizes Dust cover cap, wheel bolts

I lost my wheel today on my 73 Overlander. I found the wheel and three bolts. what size are the bolts? 1/2 -20? What size is the dust cover cap that goes over the bearings. I list the dust cover cap also?

Big bummer, How much damage to the wheel well? I have no idea on bolts as mine had studs.

The bolts are 1/2"x20, torqued to 100-110#/ft. For the dust cap, you'll probably have to go to a trailer repair shop, it is the same cap you would find on something like an equipment trailer (lowboy).

1/2-20 is most likely right, but

I have not seen wheel bolts since I had a VW Beetle. Every Airstream I have seen has had studs.

The original poster must have lost his nuts

Tom, our '74 had bolts, before I replaced the axles and brake drums. I was told this was to make it easier to maneuver the wheel into place without it hanging up on the studs sticking out. After having both, I think I'd rather have the studs.

My '86 Sovereign had wheel bolts until brake/bearing/tire failure on an axle Oct. '07. A new Dexter drum with studs was put on and I replaced the other wheelbolts with 1/2-20 studs several weeks ago. PM me if you are interested, I can mail you a few of the wheel bolts for the price of shipping. I also have one dust cover for the Dexter 10 X 2 1/4 drum if that is what you need.
