Seal Part Number I am repacking wheel bearings and seals have no part number.

WE are getting ready for a 4000 mile trip out west to Yellowstone then to Zion and back to Ohio.
Repacking bearings on axels and need replacement seals. I have no part number on old seals. I have went to local auto part supply stores and unable to get replacement seal, most donít want to look up by dimension, NAPA did take effort to look up but only had a single lip seal.
I need help; dose any one have a part number for seal?
Dimensions are OD= 3.71 ID= 2.250 W= .375
I just purchased new drums from JC last spring I can drive the 100 miles to get replacement at JC but it would be nice to obtain locally.

There are industrial bearing companies everywhere...even tractor dealers and horse trailer shops. If you give anyone of them the old seal or those dimensions they would have the part there ...in stock. I can't imagine that NAPA, O'reily or Auto Zone would not as well.

Any RV dealer who does brake/bearing service should have the seals in stock. Just take an old one to them to match up the size.

In addition to what was posted above, why not just have JC overnight them to you-cost is going to be about the same as you driving 200 miles. And you won't waste a day traveling.

I don't think that Jackson Center will mail parts that are not on their web page, are the seals on the web page? They are available from Out of Doors Mart and Inland RV. While you are at it, buy an extra set.

Which drums did you buy?

What part # did Airstream list?

Your 3.71 dimension does not match the seal for the standard drums.

Clean the old seal well and take a really good look at it with a 10 power hand lens. The number on mine is molded in the rubber of the seal in very small letters. The lady at NAPA had the seals right away after we finally found the number.

I’m not sure on part number for drums. They were servicing brakes for me and old drums required to be sent out to get turn which would have been 1 day turn around. They had new replacements in stock which were different, they used a larger bearing. They replaced all 4 with same drums I will look and se if I can find work order. Other sites seem to use a 3.376 OD that maybe what it is 5 thousands isn’t that much. I could be measuring wrong

Ouch, that's a ton of money for a drum.

Maybe the inside is gold.

I think the grease seal outer dimension is 3.376 and not 3.71
