The correct wheel is 15" 6 lug on a 5 1/2" bolt circle, with a zero offset AND a 2600 pound rating.

Junk yard wheels are an absolute NO NO.

You do not know the history of those wheels, let alone the weight rating.

I agree that junk yard wheels shouldn't be used. If you are looking at steel wheels, they specs should be stamped right into the wheel. It should give you size offset and weight rating right in the stamp. It can often be hard to see, but it should be there.

Good Luck!

John.

Airstream has used that steel wheel with those specs for about 40 years or so.

So, yes, that's the correct one for your coach.

Thanks everyone.

I was able to re-use the existing steel rims. Put new tires on the 78 Trade Wind and drove it from New Jersey to it's new home it New Lenox (Illinois).

I'm looking for new wheels for my '72 Landyacht, it is stored about 300 miles away so I can't do my own measuring. can someone measure the width and depth of the axle. I need to know the cleance for baby moons or the caps, and some rims don't have the required size for the axle, some to big and some are to small.
thanks in advance,
Al.

Typically, the wheels should be ordered from the same place that has the hub caps, so that you don't have to worry about the hub cap fit.

Just make sure that the company that you chose, also knows the proper wheel for your coach.

15 X 6 6 lug on a 5 1/2 inch bolt circle, 2600 pounds minimum.
