Recommended wheel width 1964 Overlander

Does anyone know the recommended wheel width for a 1964 Overlander so it will accomodate the wheel well?? Is 6 x 15 standard or will 7 x 15 work or be too wide for the wheel well??

Thanks.

Are you asking a tire question or a wheel question. Most any wheel will fit.

15x6 with a zero offset will work, that is an original Airstream size.
I was able to run 15x7in wheels with zero offset on my 71 TradeWind, but for some traielrs that is too wide. It will not fit between the hub and outer skin without bending the skin at tire changes, on many trailers.
I run 15x6 alloys on my 1963 Overlander, and it is a perfect fit.

The recommended wheel width for a 7.00-15 tire is 5.5".
A 6" wheel will work also.
