Recommendation for 15X7 Aluminum Wheels

I need six new 15X7 wheels for my 34. Been looking all over but just can't seem to come up with anything. I need some help by way of some recommendations from everyone. I don't need an Airstream rim just something that looks good and will be easy to take care of. Probably an aluminum rim with clearcoat. My trailer has a S/O so it comes in at around 11,000 lbs loaded. DH

Why not upgrade to a 16” rim? I took mine to discount tire ordered sweet looking rims and tires.
They had them in and ready to go on the Airstream in 2 days.

I've seen the 15" to 16" discussions. I didn't have a problem with 15s and all the techno talk just drove me nuts. I found the problem after I bought a new set of tires, 15s.

I too are looking for wheels and tires . The factory Alcoa wheels on mine are 15/7 and I was looking at Sendel wheels they are 6" wide . Thats what i had on my previous trailer TO2's and I had Michelin LTX's on it and went with 16" wheels and tires but I was planning on Goodyear Endurance this time in 15" . I didn't want to buy new wheels but seen a post about the Alcoa wheels cracking I checked all of mine for cracks and found none but thats when I seen they are a 7" wide wheel . Not sure what to do now .

Try looking on etrailer.com. I blew a tire last fall and it destroyed the stock AS cast aluminum wheel. I found and ordered an exact replacement from etrailer.com, got it in 2 days for about $100.

These might work

http://www.americanracing.com/wheel/20340/ar172-baja

2000lb load but -6 offset ...... assume you are looking for 0

Steel seems available.

Lots of 6" rims.

You can get custom sizes, but pricy they are. AR has a cool looking Hildebrand style at about $750 a pop.

Good luck with your research. Pat

We used the 15” SenDel T03-56445T wheels that match the 16 SenDel T03-66655T wheels we installed on the Classic. Those 15” wheels captioned above were for the 10” brake drums with five lug nuts on our 23D that came with 14” tires and wheels. The 15” SenDel wheel that has the six lug nut pattern for 12” brake drums is T03-56655T. Note that all the SenDel wheels are 6" wide.

SenDel has many designs for trailer wheels. We chose the T03 design as that is the design that Airstream used for their 16” upgrade with Michelin tires.

http://sendelwheel.com/wheels/alumin...er-wheels.html

We are running the same model 15” Michelin LTX {P} 235/75R15 XL side wall rated 2,183 pounds we used on our 2013 25FB International Serenity. They must be derated 10% for trailer use to 1,965 pounds at 44 psi we carried. Note the new Defender series in that size are side wall rated 2,271 pounds with a derated load capacity on a trailer to 2,064 pounds. The 10% derating of a passenger tire for trailer use is a Federal regulation.

Andy Thompson at CanAm in London, Ontario, Canada installs these 15” Michelin’s on all of their Airstreams, even the tri-axle Classics.

I'm trying the Nokian Rotiiva AT LT 235/75R15 116S. A true LT tire with a load rating of 2760 lbs. at 80psi for our fall trip to Canada, though the Michelins have performed well over the past three years. I am attracted to the higher loads on the Nokians.

Its a Done Deal. Bought my new rims today

Hey Folks,

Thanks for the info on wheels. I really appreciate it. Today I had my tire guy buy me 6 new rims. Airstream couldn't even come up with six rims that would fit. Neither could any of the RV dealers. My tire guy nailed it. I want to thank again the folks that had ads on the Forum that responded to my urgent want ad. I just couldn't get it all together. DH

Great!
Did you go with a different look? Mine changed the whole look of my Airstream for the better.
That have performed very well since I changed them out.
