Question, I can understand you need 2600lb wheels if the TT weights 10,000lbs.
But if the TT weighted 7,000lbs would 1750lbs wheels be enough, something like the load cap on the tires?
I agree 100% with Andy.
The 2600lb load rating is important because if a tire blows, the healthy wheel will have to support that side of the trailer.
Airstreams approaching 10000lbs usually have three axles, I believe.
Load range C tires have a LR of 2150lbs, while D-Rated tires can carry 2450lbs, btw.
Only 14" Marathons are rated down to 1760lbs. Rarely used on Airstreams.
I bought and love these wheels: Aluminum Trailer Wheel Style: SERIES #03 Size: 15 x 6 Bolt Pattern: 6 x 5.5 Bore Size: 4.25 Load Rating: 2830 lbs @ 80 PSI Offset: 0mm
