"Would the Goodyear LR D at 65 psi ride smoother than ST tires at 65 psi?"

Not sure. But the point is they are more likely to have air in them and be in one piece than the ST tires which sure helps the ride overall.

That's a good point bill.Lol! I'm torn between the Michelin LTX and Goodyear wrangler LRD. The Michelin is about $20.00 cheaper per tire plus $70.00 rebate on the set of 4. But I don't want to go cheap and be sorry later.

I just replaced the 15" GYM tires and wheels with Sendel 16" wheels and Michelin LTX MS/2 Tires. I have had a blow out on the GYM tires and worry about them especially in hot weather. The GYM tires I replaced had about 20,000 miles on them and were virtually worn out. I am expecting to get at least 50,000 miles on the Michelins.

I run the Michelin 15" LTX on my 25' and am very pleased with them. I run them at 50 psi. which is max. My trailer is light on the axles (5600 lbs loaded, 6300 gross weight) and came with load range C tires orginally. I camped with a retired Goodyear tire desiger and he ran the Wrangler load range d tires on his 30 ft Airstream. Your trailer will be heavier than mine and I bet the Wranglers would be a good match. you might be able to run them a few lbs under 65 depending upon the load.

Go michelin. I remember the wrangler tires on my truck were the worst ever.
