New valve stems

Putting new tires our 2016 25’ fb flying cloud next week. (GYE 225/75R 15 117N E1)
We are using the wheels that came with the trailer originally .
We have a new TST TPMS ..Cap sensor style system we will put on after the new tires are on.

Decided it’s a good time to go to metal valve stems.
Did some research and decided on DILL VS-902-W metal stems. Discount tire , where the tires are going to be put on , says they have these in stock. We will try these with the sensor when we go to get the tires on.

So I’m thinking we are good to go but wanted to ask if anyone has used this specific metal stem with their TST TPMS and did it work ? Example ..length and within tire profile etc ?

Thanks!

Quality brand.👍
With an external stem mount TPMS I would want the shortest length that is available for the wheel.
Less chance of curb rash damage.

They come in a variety of lengths. I took one of my sensors to the tire shop so they could test fit with the different lengths. As mentioned, too long and you risk whacking them off on a curb, too short and they may hit the wheel before they are on all the way.

Yes, I was concerned they might be too short, but they are perfect. I have the TST cap sensors, and they clear the rim, allow enough space for the removal tool. I guess if you scrape curbs, you could hit one, but there are no shorter good options.

This is all great to hear! Will definitely take the sensors with to the tire shop and be sure stems are an appropriate size.
Thanks for all the comments!
