I have purchased a 2005 30' Safari Bunkhouse. The trailer is in excellent shape with the exception of the tires. It has the original GYMs on one side, and underspec'd passenger tires on the other.
I am looking to replace all the tires including the spare. This needs to be done before I go and pick up the trailer.
Reading through the mountains of information on tires, I am looking to either move up to a load rated 'E' tire, or move to 16" rims and an LT tire.
A couple of questions to those familiar with the 30' Bunkhouse. Unfortunately I don't have the trailer handy to examine!
1. What is the maximum pressure rating for the 15x6 Rims?
2. Is there room to install 16" tires on this model?
Any help would be appreciated...I don't have all that much time to make these decisions as I'm trying to get the trailer home in the next couple of weeks. We'd like to use it for the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
