Hi all!
Just bought a
1962 Safari. It has been sitting in a field next to the owners house for 10-12 years. It's like a time capsule. Everything there and very few man tracks. Tires are amazingly not too bad and I do have a spare.
Problem: I need to tow it 300 miles to home base.
Plan A: Remove tires, pull hubs apart, clean and inspect bearings, back off brakes, repack bearings, add tires, cross fingers.
Any advice from you guys who know what the heck your doing?
Thanks.
Tim
By the way, anything worth doing, is worth overdoing!
