modern Chevy 6 lug on my '74 Boles Aero?

Yes, i know, this is an airstream forum and I asked a Boles Aero question, but I know the six lug wheelsa on my boles are the same as six lug wheels on Airstreams of that era.

I have an opportunity to acquire four beautiful aluminum Chevy rims that probably came off a Tahoe or some other SUV. THey would look very nice on my Boles.

I'll research the weight issue when i get my hands on them, just wanted to know if the bolt pater is the same.

Bolt pattern SHOULD be the same as an Airstream, 6 bolt, 5 1/2" pattern, zero offset.

The older chev. 6 bolt pattern was the same so probably that would still be true.
On the steel wheel a grinder was needed to make little more center hole room where the "nubbins" on my 69 hub were.

Check the center hole and the offset.

For the trailer we want ZERO offset, right? THese rims have a couple inches of negative offset, so the track would be narrowed by 4-6" overall, right?

I've been looking this information up and all i can find for these chevey rims is "standard offset"

I'm thinking I can find spacers for under $100 and that would probably be worth it. (i''ll be getting the rims for next to nothing)

I just looked into seeing if my 2012 Suburban wheels would fit my '61 Airstream Safari. The bolt pattern is right but the offset is 31mm. Plus they are 17" rims which I assume is too big for the I am giving up on the idea that I could have the same wheels as the tow vehicle and share the spare.

A couple of inches is a LONG way to go with spacers.

They would worry me and spoil my comfort.

The fact that I am opinionated does not presuppose that I am wrong......
