Metal Valve stems for a 2017 Flying Cloud with 15 inch wheels

Will TR 416 metal valve stems work with the 2017 Flying Cloud 15 inch wheels? A local vendor provided the information, not sure who manufactures the stems.

Thanks!

Bob

A Question: we have a 2017 Flying Cloud and it "appears" to have metal valve stems. Could this be a metal cladding on rubber stems? ... or truly metal stems?

Are these things replaceable by non-experts, or do they need to be installed at a dealer/tire shop?

I'd go to a tire shop for stem replacement. Stems are installed I think from the inside of the wheel.. gotta take the tire off

The tire does not have to come off the wheel. You only have to break the bead on one side. Then you can stick your hand inside to do the swap. I have a Harbor Freight portable tire changer. I swapped the valve stems myself at home.

Ok, but my point is you have to deflate & break the bead. Then make sure the bead is properly set when you re inflate. That's beyond what most people want to do themselves.

I've got a 2016 Flying Cloud with 15" wheels.
Same question. But...........
The "tire experts" at CanAm tell me that they're not available.
I want them for my T.P.M. sensors. (they don't weigh much.)

I purchased the metal stems, less than $2 each. Still looking for a good tire shop to do the install. Will post if the ones I purchased worked.

I am sure Walmart will do a valve stem swap.

Be careful about how the trailer is lifted. They can ruin axles or underside

Any reputable tire shop can safely do the job... worth the $ if they don't damage and/or over torque lugnuts

This just happened a week or so ago to someone...he was even outside showing the mechanic where to lift, but another mechanic quickly starting raising the other side. In the 5 seconds it took the owner to get to that side, the fresh water tank drain valve and surrounding tank cover were smashed in.

How this mechanic thought that was a good place to lift is beyond me.
