Lug nuts spins

I had metal valve stems installed at Discount Tire, one lug nut cover just spins, already home. Any ideas on how to remove the lug nut? I have ordered McGard lugs to replace the OEM.

Vise grip, straight screwdriver and hammer. It took all three to remove mine.

Bottom line cost. They buy them by the thousands for pennies.

Tin snips and needle nose pliers. Go to autozone and buy 5 chevy solid chrome lugs for $7. Replace all of them!

Dremel tool with carbide metal bit. Takes about 30 seconds. Mine with the flexible extension is part of my travel kit. Never leave without it.

No toolbox should be without these items (at home anyway).

I heard today Sears is selling the brand because they need the money. Who knows what the quality will be like then.

Yeah, that was my first thought as well. But after reading more, the buyer is Stanley/Black&Decker who just also bought Newell. So, other brands beside Stanley, B&D, Craftsman are DeWalt, Porter Cable, Irwin and Vice-Grip. I'm OK with that kind of company. And lifetime warranty remains intact and goes forward.
