While replacing bearings on my 93 Excella I discovered 2 different lug nuts on the rig, just bought it last year. I know the thread is 1/2 X 20 but the cone angle is the question. Auto stores list two, 60 or 90 angle plus a myriad of depths. Does anyone know which is the correct lug nut, sizes, the dealer says the info they have stops before 1993.
If the hole is chamfered, then use the 60* nut. If the hole has a square edge, use the 90* nut. The depth doesn't matter unless the lug is closed in which case just make sure the lug is deep enough to accommodate the stud with a little to spare.
