Looking for a wheel stud

Although this has nothing to do with clearances, can anyone tell me where I can find a wheel stud for a 2004 30" with slide? I had new wheels and tires (16") put on yesterday and they found a stripped wheel lug. Spent all day going to different parts stores, RV and trailer suippliers and they can not find the exact replacement. I have a call into Airstream and they are suppose to call me back.

I would think that a good auto parts store like NAPA would carry them in stock.

I thought so too. But they went thru there parts book and could not duplicate what I brought to them. They miked it up to be sure. The spline section of the stud is almost twice the length of anything they showed. Still waiting for Airstream to call back.

PIcture with Airstream Part Number. Bought a spare about 5 years ago for my 2002 classic 30 ft. NAPA did carry something that would work but don't have part number.

ANY RV, or even utility trailer parts place will have those studs. They are for standard 12x2" drums.

Thanks Bigdaddy 2 that is the direct replacement. Airstream did call me back and gave me that part number and told me I would have to go a service dealer which is fine.

I had the same problem (Stripped lug studs) on my 2004 when I changed from 15" to 16" wheels. I tried the substitutes that I got from the local auto parts stores. They didn't really work out so well. So now I will have to redo my one problem hub drum, again. There are no authorized Airstream dealers in Dallas. Maybe Airstream will let me buy it directly from them.

I realize it's not all that close, but there's Vogt in Fort Worth.

If you're going to have something shipped, Out Of Door Mart (odmrv.com) is an Airstream dealer, and Inland RV (Inland RV Center - The Nations Leading Expert in Airstream Innovations) stocks and ships Airstream parts.

Inland referred me to a dealer because he needed at least $100.00 order. Bill Thomas's service man (John) ordered them from Airstream when he had an order going out to them for the dealership. Than mailed them to me.

They are not an Airstream dealer anymore, though they still do service. They're on the I35E northbound access road just north of the George Bush tollway, and their website says they ship nationwide, so I assume they stock parts or can get them.

North Dallas RV

After I had the brakes done at the dealer, I decided to put on centramatics. I had trouble with two tires. Each tire had one stud that was spinning free when I tried to remove the lug, likely due to the mechanic over-torquing the lugs and broke the stud free. My question is, how do I remove the stud and how is a new stud installed? Does it have to be pressed in?
