How do I remove the hubcaps? I need to bring one of my tires up to rated inflation, and the airpump won't fit on the valve stem because it's not sticking out enough.
Crowbar? Screwdriver? Pointy stick?

In days of old, every tire shop had many of these laying around:
The design kept the technician from scratching the wheel. If you don't mind an overseas order, you too can have that tool for £8.99.
I bought valve stem extenders for my Overlander from the local auto parts store. Below is a picture of the extender, and the tool I use when the hubcap needs to come off for any other reason.
I carry a long screwdriver. Works just fine. My wheel covers were very difficult to remove because they fit so good.
Also, I bought valve extenders from Myers tire equipment supply. They are metal, made in switzerland or austria and work great. Much higher quality than the plastic extenders which I don't trust.
