Lets go back to the 16x7 vs the 16x6 issue for a minute...VinStream advises 16x7 for greater LT tire selection, TC Wheels and CAStreamer appear happy with the 16x6s. I'll be replacing my (trusted) 5 year old Marathons and 15-inch rims in March, and want to be cool like the other kids on this block and upgrade to 16-inch Seidels and Michelins. Since I don't think I'm the only ignoramus out there wondering about this, could you trailer sages shed more light on this? Thank you. jon

I think most folks use the 16x6, and I believe that is what Airstream uses at the factory. Good enough for me. Maybe VinStream can elaborate on the 16x7...I'm not sure how that would affect the amount of space in the wheel well...it's already tight.

For best tire performance, matching tread width to wheel width works best. Which is why the range for wheel width for a given tire is narrow.

Note tire section width. This will not be at the tread, and is wider.

As to wheelwells measure the current setup for height and width clearance.

New wheels, not just new tires, may be different even if otherwise exact same spec is met.

I know this. As stated, I don't need that. Both are way over my GVWR anyways. 27ft International has a max of 7500lbs. And again, I don't like the T03's. I like to be different.

Actually I'm really digging these

Thank you, at 17 months she remains that happy a little mischievous at times but a joy for me and my wife (most of the time).

We have the black shadow ones also and they match the black shadow wheels on our F350. Did not do it on purpose but I am not going to tell anyone that.

But it worked out as they almost match the wheels on our Ford F350 Platinum with the black inserts.
Hmmmm ... the wheels on our 2015 Eddie Bauer are polished aluminum ... not chrome ...

I'm thinking of making the switch to 16" wheels/tires. Am confused about caps and lug nuts. Will the existing caps and lugs from my factory 15" wheels work with new wheels/tires? My AS is new 25 Flying Cloud and I'll be selling the 15" wheels/tires.

Center caps and lug nuts will fit going 15 inch OEM to 16 inch Sendel. Some have reported cracking of the OEM lugnuts, best check them out.

Yep, get some good quality lug nuts, perhaps from McGard. AS lug nuts are cheap nuts covered with a thin metal sheath. They work fine, but after a bit of use the covers start to crack and look dumpy.

We ordered 5 regular plus one locking nut for each wheel. They look great, and now it's a bit more of a pain to steal the wheels. Yes, I got two copies of the matching socket for the lock nuts.
