I've read mixed opinions on the center caps.

The TO6 is out the window now, the center bore is all wrong. So boo hoo :'(

Guess it's back to the T02 which is my preference over the T03 but who knows, maybe I'll just default.

Discount Tire has arrangements in most cities (where they have no direct dealership), with many local businesses who will mount, balance, and dispose of your old tires for $16 each.

Surprising because their out the door pricing for me is $898.80 which is more than Costco out the door here which only charges $15 per tire.

Center Caps fit if you go from the same wheel dimensions that I had to what I bought....see above

Is Costco going to install them on your trailer, or just mount them on the rims? Just a heads up, but I would check with the installer at Costco ahead of time as they have some pretty strict standards as far as installing tires goes. Some installers can't get past installing an LT tire on a trailer. I had an issue with that here in California, but this state has some overly protective tire mounting and installation laws.

Also the center caps from my old wheels fit the new wheels perfectly.

Mounting loose, I had this issue resolved already, earlier: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f438...op-127490.html

I just had the Motrhership replace all seven wheels and tires on my three axle Classic. Airstream tire size 225/75 R-15 replaced by Michelin M/S LTX LT225/75 R16, Load Range E.
Note: Airstream Service installs wheels with Michelins already mounted from their supplier. They took my old rims and tires on trade as there is some demand for the Alcoa wheels. All in all, it was a good deal, and since I was getting the wheel bearings repacked there was no labor charge for the change out. They stated the warranty was the same as every thing else they do. I was averaging three years each on sets of Marathons, Carlilses, and Maxxis. This was Airstream's recommendation for the problem of premature tread separation I had experienced in all the cases of tire failure. To boot, when I got home, Discount Tire sold me lifetime road hazard waranties on the tires including free rotation and balancing. They wrote the order up stating the tires are installed on a trailer the same as they do for ST tires. It seems like the future for Airstream is Michelin LT. It can't be any worse than my ST experience history.
I feel better about going to Labrador now than I did about my 12,000 mile trip to Alaska and back. Lost four STs on that trip. Two of us got real fast at changing tires on that run. Fifteen minutes flat. just like NASCAR. Well almost as fast.

Lets go back to the 16x7 vs the 16x6 issue for a minute...VinStream advises 16x7 for greater LT tire selection, TC Wheels and CAStreamer appear happy with the 16x6s. I'll be replacing my (trusted) 5 year old Marathons and 15-inch rims in March, and want to be cool like the other kids on this block and upgrade to 16-inch Seidels and Michelins. Since I don't think I'm the only ignoramus out there wondering about this, could you trailer sages shed more light on this? Thank you. jon

I think most folks use the 16x6, and I believe that is what Airstream uses at the factory. Good enough for me. Maybe VinStream can elaborate on the 16x7...I'm not sure how that would affect the amount of space in the wheel well...it's already tight.

For best tire performance, matching tread width to wheel width works best. Which is why the range for wheel width for a given tire is narrow.

Note tire section width. This will not be at the tread, and is wider.

As to wheelwells measure the current setup for height and width clearance.

New wheels, not just new tires, may be different even if otherwise exact same spec is met.

I know this. As stated, I don't need that. Both are way over my GVWR anyways. 27ft International has a max of 7500lbs. And again, I don't like the T03's. I like to be different.

Actually I'm really digging these

We have the black shadow ones also and they match the black shadow wheels on our F350. Did not do it on purpose but I am not going to tell anyone that.

Hmmmm ... the wheels on our 2015 Eddie Bauer are polished aluminum ... not chrome ...

I'm thinking of making the switch to 16" wheels/tires. Am confused about caps and lug nuts. Will the existing caps and lugs from my factory 15" wheels work with new wheels/tires? My AS is new 25 Flying Cloud and I'll be selling the 15" wheels/tires.
