Let's not forget about wheels that the material composition and method of construction bear on our concerns.
Steel wheels may not be pretty, but they'll deform under a load before they break. There are RV'ers from the world of trucking who will have no other kind.
Aluminum wheels may be cast, forged, or machined from billet. That roughly follows the upward price curve. The final two may not have much relative strength difference, but the usual cast aluminum wheel will crack & break before all other types. There are different kinds of casting methods, too.
Then there is finish work. Etc.
Keep it in mind as you shop. Some wheels are cheap for a reason.
The ALCOA wheels (a brand also used on 18-wheelers) once used by A/S were, I believe, a very good choice. More expensive, and I don't think they today market a TT sized wheel for our purposes. Keep the brand -- and its' details -- as a benchmark.
