If your original rims are the split rims - get rid of them they are dangerous.
On my '64 the replacement wheels are 15" 6 lug, 5.5" pattern, 0" offset and the tires are 8ply 7.00 x 15.
Use the search function above, and you will find alot of advice on wheel/tire combinations for your trailer.
....and welcome to the forums.

From one (or two) Overlanderers to another:
What he said! If you have to get new wheels, they should be at least 2500 pound capacity.

OEM type rims are available from LowCostTrailerSupplies.com
Part #WH156-60E (2600# rating). Also OEM style (plain-without the orig.embossed rings):
Baby moon hubcaps Part # A-1309
4 wheels & caps = $234.36
The shipping is the killer.

just getting back
thanks to all off you. the rims that are on the trailer now are not split rims but i do not know if they are rated for 2600lb. did all 62's have split rims or is it possible that it has original single piece rims, also these have tubes with bias ply tires and will it be possible to go to tubeless tires or can reputable tire shop make the distinction. thanks again

Sorry, I don't know them, but I've only been in COlville for about 2-1/2 years. The great northwest is definitely the best part of the US OK, so maybe I'm a little partial, being born and raised in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

Born in Idaho
I was born in Kellog Idaho which is just southeast of Couer D' Alene and Spokane and have relatives like I said in Colville so I have made that trek across the mountains many times. My family and I will be around the Jackson Hole area at the end of July to visit family, too bad we are not pulling our camper but it just won't be a long enough trip speaking in terms of time. I just never get tired of the Northwest.

I know Kellog, lived in Post Falls for a couple years before moving up here. PF & CDA just continue to grow at a rapid rate, I think it's even spread (a little) to the Kellog area.

I haven't been to Pine Bluff, but I've been close. Traveled from Shreveport to Eureka Springs - that's a beautiful area too.

Toby:
You can usually recognize a orig. rim by the hubcap clips. There will be 5 or 6 clips riveted on near the wheel nuts to hold the orig. style 'baby moons'.
Not sure about ratings on old ones.

Tire Problems, too
My husband and I need 4 tires for our 1980 Airstream Excella. We put a regular tire on it when one blew out bringing it home, but know we are suppose to have trailer tires.
Can you have a regular tire company order them for you?
Thanks,
Alice

Murray,
OEM type rims are available from LowCostTrailerSupplies.com
Part #WH156-60E (2600# rating). Also OEM style (plain-without the orig.embossed rings):
Baby moon hubcaps Part # A-1309
4 wheels & caps = $234.36
The shipping is the killer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but according to the Trailerparts website shouldn't the baby moon hubcaps be item A-1308 instead of A-1309 for 15" wheels?
Anyhoo, thanks much for the info. A fellow could learn something if he hung around here for a while

Sorry- probably wrote it down wrong. The website rules! Another very nice baby moon is available from repro. vintage Ford parts places, but I would have to look for info on it. I have some and they are great but fit really tight- a good thing but hard to mount /dismount without hassles.
