Thumbs up CrawfordGene, preach'n to the choir...

Spent some time on the wheels today. First time since we got the trailer that I attempted a polish job. Spent just under an hour per wheel, by hand, while still mounted. If you haven't tried the stuff from our favorite "garage" give it a go. As you can see...it WORKS.

Bob,

Pretty impressive. When is Griot's going to start sending us stuff for free? Can you polish mine to show me how it's done? I am thinking about placing an order for some stuff, but have been putting it off.

I have noticed some places on one or more wheels where the coating is starting to come off. That doesn't encourage me to polish, especially when the present task around here is cutting wood for the winter.

Started on Saturday on dead fall piñon and one cedar and have got about one cord so far. I hope to get a two year supply before the deadfall starts to rot. During some bad drought years the ips beetle was ravaging the forest here and now the dead trees are falling over. I haven't been able to keep up with it, so I'm making an effort to cut all summer and into Fall, or until I collapse, or we take a few days with the Safari.

Gene

Sure Gene...I prefer to fly Southwest.

I don't have any corrosion on the wheels....YET.

I'm sure it helps that I take 'em off during the Winter and keep them covered when not moving.
Actually the polishing was pretty straight forward. Elbow greese, very little polish on a wet cotton shop towel, (keeping the wheel wet), wipe down with microfiber cloth and Speedshine. Viola.
