Correct spare wheel?

Andy said this in a related thread:

"The correct wheels are 15 inch, zero offset 6 holes on a 5 1/2 bolt center."

I ordered a wheel for my '77 Argosy to use as a spare. I measured it and found that it has 3-1/8" backspacing (face of the wheel/hub bearing surface to the inner edge of the rim). It is 7" wide (edge to edge) and 6 on 5.5" bolt pattern, which is correct for my trailer.

I am uncertain that I have the right rim. Please advise me is the backspacing is the same as the "offset" that Andy posted about.

Thanks

Mike

Then measure from the front side and it should be about the same ,the center of the wheel takes up some space.
