Center cap size and availability

On our 1972 Int. Sov. 31' we have the steel 7.00x15 wheels with 6 lugs. I tried to measure the diameter of the center cap spring clips and it is tough with the bearing cap sticking out so far, but I got about 8".

While I was towing her home from Tejas to Cali I was at a Pilot truck stop and they had a small selection of center caps for cheap, like $6 so I picked up an 8" and it was too big.

Is the cap 7-1/2", 7-5/8" 7-3/4" or what?
