can I fit these tires on those rims?

We bought our '71 Overlander AS last year in Phoenix. Had to replace all tires immediately. We put on a "cargo hyw" tire, 10 ply 7.00-15 LT. We pulled off the hub caps 'cause it was too hard to access the valve stems, so they just run as steel (ugly) wheels. Neighbor has a very similar vintage AS just moldering in a back lot. It has pretty alum wheels which I suspect were original AS. They are trimmed in blue and say "Mooren" in the center insert. They have the same hole pattern as my AS, I think the center hole is the same. The tires on his wheels say, "P235/75R15" They are so old, they are shot. Anyhow, might I be able to mount my almost new 7.00-15's on those rims? I really like the rims, but not enough to buy another set of new tires, right now.

Hi, check the wheel lug nut studs. On some vehicles with steel wheels the lug studs are too short for aluminum wheels. Longer studs can be installed.
