Baby moons???

I have a 1976 Ambassator in need of wheel covers (hubcaps). Is there any reason why I can simply buy some baby moons and use them? If so, does anyone know what size I need and where to find them?
It seems that the new style baby moons seem to attach with clips in the wheel. I seem to remember them clipping over those lumps on the outside edges.

I went to a local used hupcap place where I could try out different baby moons until I got the ones that fit perfectly. Yup, they fit over those three bumps on the inner hump.

I found some Silver Streak moons that fit on clips that I had on my wheels.

You can also go here. Wheel Vintiques - Accessories
Some one else did on this forum and I saved the link.

If your wheels look like the one pictured in the attached post and have a 7-3/4" opening then vintage baby moon caps should fit.

I have seen them at: Airstream Hubcaps-Travel Trailer Wheel Covers AirStream Baby Moon Hubcaps-Retro Chevy

Baby Moons

My wheels do not have the clips attached to secure the hubcap. My wheels have those humps (lugs) that grip the inside of the hubcap. I am encouraged to learn that some old style baby moons bought from a used hubcap shop fit perfectly. That is the route I will take to find them..

Thanks all

Mike
