I'm looking to replace/re pack the bearings on a new to me 88 32' Excella before I drag it up the east coast for the summer. All I can find on axle model is its 3500#s, but nothing further on spindle size/type, so I can order bearing kits from etrailer. Can anybody help me out? Any other sources for bearings (local or inter webs)
It should have 12x2 brakes, and there is only one inner bearing and seal for those.
There are two different outer bearings, the ones on your trailer should be the smaller ones.

Bearings of all types and sizes are among the most highly standardized manufactured items, and you should be able to see the manufacturer's name stamped on the actual bearing, along with the bearing number, like "L123456". They should be available at nearly any auto parts store. The same goes for the seals. Of course that means that you have to disassemble a wheel, and then run to the store. I downloaded this file some years ago from the Airstream site, but I don't know if it's still there. I hope it helps. I think I changed the name of the file when I downloaded it so that I could recognize what the file represents.
