I still like the wheel with the holes—see Post 133—that we have and Brian has. They are much easier to clean than the spoke models.

I've had both now. For cleaning, I don't prefer one over the other. Leaning towards the Tredit's at the moment, but it'll be a little bit before I buy.

A little 16" wheel thread resurrection...

Just returned from JC and Alumapalooza and had the 16"ers put on (and a bunch of other Alumapaloozers did too!) I know we've been talking about the wheels offered by the service center at the Mothership being the solid discs with holes, and I arrived fully expecting to receive those wheels. Lo and behold near the desk I see two options: one being the disc with holes, and the other, the Eddie Bauer spokes minus the black accenting (the T03 from above, actually).

Like newroswell, I've had both types before and don't really have a preference for cleaning. They're all hard to clean if neglected. So I chose the EB spokes and like them quite well. I cannot tell you the satisfaction I felt driving home on quality tires versus the GYM's.

Here they are. No difference on clearance from what's been noted earlier.

The Eddie Bauer 25 FB trailer dataplate states the tires are "ST"225X75X15 Load Range D. This is an Airstream factory production install, not customer install. I would imagine, there will be a NTSA recall for the data plate change. Airstream has had recalls for lesser items. Our 2006 Bambi Q/S had a NTSA recall to add 2 red rear reflectors.

Nice wheels Kry! Now we've got a good photos with/without the black accent for those of us on the fence still.

Very nice indeed!!!

I had convinced myself that I liked the ones with the black better. Now I'm not so sure.

I chose the wheels like Gene's when I made the change (Gene's post 133, see my repost of that pic below). However, I must admit, those are some really good looking wheels kry226!!

Many thanks to all! So glad we took the step.

No certain issue to report regarding a rougher ride, but the trailer is more sure-footed, and "seems" to roll a little easier, though I am sure it's in my mind.

I did have the counter extension bracket break during one leg of the trip back home, but I think that's more a result of Indiana roads than new tires.

...and my roto-chocks don't fit as well any more.

ETA: It looks like WayneandSam have the same wheels from JC, as posted earlier. Now, why didn't I catch that?

I went with the all silver ones T03-66655 and they look great. The face finish is shiny aluminum and the sides of the cut-outs are a light gray frosted finish (probably the same places where the black paint is on the other ones).

Pricing seems to vary from $88 to about $112 so shop around.

I am very pleased with how they look.

Joined the 16" club too - got the "International style" wheels and Michelin LTX tires from JC and had them shipped to me here at Highland Haven in VA. Didn't want to drive home on the GYMs after a blowout on the way up with my 25' 2005 Safari SE ( aka Flying Cloud).

I am already much less anxious about the drive back to FL.

I too now have the 16"ers with the Eddie Baues Wheels and breezed on home from the Alumapalloza without a worry in the world. Many thanks to the Jackson Center Service Center men and women for helping me make my "Condo" on wheels a pleasure to tow.
