which ball for BX Sway Pro @ rvupgradestore?

Hello,

I am going to order a Blue Ox Sway Pro 750 from RV Upgrade Store. Which ball should I order with it?

https://www.rvupgradestore.com/Hitch...show=28&page=1

Thanks,

Jason

Interesting question. Seems simple enough, but .....

Go to the Blue Ox site - http://blueox.com/trailer-towing/swaypro/

The balls listed are
P# BX88213 2-5/16 x 1-1/4 x 2-1/4 x 1 ris (assume this is rise)
P# BX88214 2-5/16 x 1-1/4 x 2-1/4 x 2 ris (assume this is rise)
P# BX88234 2-5/16 x 1-1/4 x 2-1/4 x 1 ris 25K (Assume this is a 25,000 lb capacity

Interesting from several issues.
Do 2-5/15 balls come with a different size shank than 1-1/4 x 2-1/4?
What is the capacity of the standard BO Ball? Have to check that.
What rise did the dealer install on the BOSP for us? (edit - std-0 rise)
Will an alternate rise help us level the trailer? At least it's an alternative to check.

Really like the idea of a 25K ball - talk about belt and suspenders. Wow!

Every day is a learning experience. Travel safe. Pat

Thanks for the info.

I am now considering a Eaz-lift Camco Recurve R6 (600lb). It comes with a ball and looks even easier to work with.

Thanks again,

Jason

Believe that is the same or similar to what CanAm suggested. Does that unit require the addition of a friction brake sway device or does the recurve model control sway with the spring bars like the BOSP? Pat

It looks like the Recurve R3 control sway with a friction collar on the rotating head unit. It looks like the Recurve R6 controls sway with two springs/balls/sockets that work to center the rotating head unit.

If you have the small shank, the BluOx kit has a spacer. You have to the socket for it though. As for as up or down type, ask BluOx.

I'll be selling my BO set up (1000 #bars) dealer installed for our 2015 23' FC, hardly used.

Yes the 2 5\16" does come in 1" and 1 1\4" shanks. The different diameters have a good difference in capacities. Is there a standard, no it varies among manufacturer. I know 2" balls have different threaded lengths. I don't recall seeing that in the 2 5\16".
