Weight under the jack and PP stinger

Hi,

I weighted the tongue weight of my trailer with Sherline scale. Under the PP stinger it showed 700 lbs and under the jack 900 lbs. I understand the difference, but it surprised me that it is as high as 200 lbs.

700 lbs with two full 20 lbs propane tanks is a bit (nice) surprise for me as my spec dry TW is 680 lbs. However, I moved the lithium batteries to the back of the trailer (inside). It is around 10% of the weight of the trailer ready for camping.

Cheers!

Good to see your weight comparison. It is often stated here the ProPride/Hensley adds up to 200 lbs to the tow vehicle load, when it actually adds nothing.

Also, if you now distribute 20% of that 700 lbs to the trailer axles with the w.d. bars, your travel trailer will add only 560 lbs to the tow vehicle load on its axles.

Our fully loaded FC 25 (835 lbs factory spec hitch weight unloaded Airstream) adds 800 lbs to our truck when the w.d. bars are set, including our ProPride hitch and two oversized Lifeline AGM batteries in the battery box. Verified several times at CAT scales.
