Vintage Weight Distribution

Does anyone know what the chances are that I would be able to find a hitch and the correct bars that would go with the "hardware" currently on my trailer?
Thanks for your help, MarkR

that looks like a old style Reese dual cam.... I use one every time we go! works good may find the rest on ebay or in the "back room" at your local hitch store. (some one may have tradded it in)

Have a great day!

Here is an auction for the saddles that go on the WD bars to make the sway control:
REESE DUAL CAM SWAY CONTROL :eBay Motors (item 250505404897 end time Oct-04-09 17:40:13 PDT)

Here is an auction for the whole thing:
Reese Weight Distribution Kit - Used:eBay Motors (item 190339120360 end time Oct-05-09 10:28:26 PDT)

You can also check Craigslist in your area.

You might call Dan Piper at Vintage Campers in Peru, IN (765) 473-8088
Vintage Campers

I think I remember seeing several hitch parts in his vintage inventory.

I think current production bars and head will work with those cams. It will, of course, require normal adjustments.

I'd call Reese and see what advice they can give you regarding any new parts combined with that system. The head and weight distribution shanks you can still buy new. The bars are another thing....

Some of the older trailer dealers here have those vintage bars in stock from systems they've removed. We still use that system also and it does a great job for us.
