And just how do I apply for my $720.00 rebate?....

Don't make us "full price" people very happy..

That would almost make sense but for one important point...

There IS NO specialized tooling in manufacturing these hitches and the "plant" certainly doesn't have any.

The truth will set you free brother Ron... it isn't working.

Knock it down another $500 and you "might" be in the ballpark. Let's see just how LOW we can get these hitches.

Oh boy, oh boy!!! "battle of the hitches"...

I've contacted both youse guys some time ago regarding y'all's hitches (yeah, mixed regional influences), and had received superb information and assistance. We're definitely interested in the hitch design you both sell. Price is a deciding factor (our equilizer works fine for the limited towing we're doing right now). However, this is going to change and we are conviced that the products you guys are selling are superior to anything else on the market.

Keep talking and let's a see price war! My interest is definitly piqued... and I'll bet, there's at least a feeeew others out there, too...

Guys, I was a participant in some gas price wars. We put our gas up for $.349. The guy across the street went to $.339. We went to $.329. He went to $.328. Don't put yourselves in a bind trying to undercut each other, the only one that wins is the consumer, and then only until he needs warranty work that can't be done because the company went under.

I completely understand what you are saying Terry. The orange company is really all too predictable and this was all taken into consideration in my business plan. The tactic of all the sales the orange company has been having, for the past 8 months, is really all too easy to predict, plan for, manage and compete against accordingly.

ok then...

a "house cleaning sale" instead of going out of biz sale ...

that's even better!

given some of the "tools" working in orange...

what new gadgets and tools should we look for?

competition is good yes?

maybe we can expect better and more durable painting/powder coating tools and products?

in some other color too ?

shoppers and buyers are standing by!

cheers

Hensley Hitch - Austin Craigs List

Sounds like a deal if you're looking for a Hensley Hitch (no, am not associated at all with seller) - $1100 buckaroos. Just looking through the RV section & saw this.

Welcome Aboard....

B Babe

Your first post will make you the center of attention....

I'm biased.....haha, or ppp,
That's Hensley or Pro-pride. Built-in sway elimination, not control.

Others will differ...

WOW...a supporting member with one post, you are serious.

Mercy, I had no idea that a post regarding hitches and associated equipment would create such a stir. We had the heavy lifting of the remodel on our AS done by Sutton RV in Eugene, OR; they carry Husky Centerline products and convinced us to go that route. Regardless of having that equipment installed, we ultimately determined that our 1/2 ton 4x4 Chevy Avalanche pick-up is not adequate to haul the AS from Portland, OR to Medora, ND so we contracted with a trucker to haul it out there and it worked well for us and was worth it. My husband caravaned out with the trucker on the 2-day trip and then had a truck full of equipment and gear to get everything set up.

Our next challenge is to get the on-demand water heater system functioning correctly. Sutton performed repair work on the system and said it was operating properly and now that the trailer is in place we've discovered that is not the case. Unfortunately, the trailer was gutted and this issue should have been completely addressed at that time. So now the trailer is totally put back together, the entire trailer is skirted, and we have no hot water (max. 1-2 minutes). My husband is trying to gain adequate access w/o tearing the entire bathroom apart to check all of the valves, wiring, connetions, etc. and it is a major pain in the south side...he's not a happy camper. Any thoughts on this issue?

Obviously I'm new to the AS Forums, this morning was the first notification I received that there was any response to my original post. Is there a setting in my profile that I need to change to receive timely notifications? It is great to have a supportive AS community for newbies like us, I've had several responses to a couple of other posts I've made on a different forum and appreciate the the helpful comments.

Many thanks,
BajaBabe

Hitches and tow rigs are a big favorite slam subjects - just filter the noise.

The UserCP button on the upper left shows the threads you select as ones you want to track or have responded to. You can un-subscribe to the in the thread tools. There is an email notification button on the user setup - but that sends lots of emails as you get subscribed to threads.

Check the UserCP when you log in or start up AirForums and it will show you your threads you have been interested in.
