After reading the all thread and 1,000 miles with the new AS and Haha I checked it to see how it was doing. I had to tight the trust as they were a little loose... I'll go tomorrow to buy a grease gun as I am already late for the service. What kind of grease should I get?
And I think to order soon a kit from hensley not to be short in case of problem. I am heading to Vancouver and I am right now in Winnipeg.
That's quite a drive and I want to be all set to take care of the haha.

GREASE...Any good quality automotive chassis grease will work just fine.

I'd recommend a standard size hand grease gun, the one with the pistol

grip handle and rubber hose is easier to use.

As far as the parts kit goes, I did get one from Hensley, I talked them

into including it with the purchase, but you could get most, if not all the

various pins, clips and retainers at any good Home Store...Home Depot

Lowes etc. I'm not sure, but I think Hensley gets $29.95 or so for the

kit. Any good RV supply store like ,Camping World should Have the

zirk grease fitting, there was only one included with kit that Hensley sent.

I had that issue. I'll bet that when you put the Hensley back on you didn't get it perfectly straight. Eyeballing it isn't good enough, I've found. Just one turn on the strut bars can misalign the head enough to cause this issue.

I'm not sure of the factory-recommended procedure, but I cured it by finding a flat straight stretch of road, and repeatedly braking to test the adjustment. After each stop I'd twist both strut bars evenly, 1/4 turn at a time. After 30 minutes of trial-and-error I got it to where I could hit the brakes at highway speeds with hands off the steering wheel and get a straight stop every time (on level ground). Make sure when you're done that both strut bars are tight.

well richL is definitely correct about adjusting the struts to straighten it...

the haha comes with 2 small reflective tabs/squares on top...

and these 2 'marks' are used in the alignment process...

it may be necessary, in loosen one side (rc) while tightening the other...

but IF one sticks to 1/4 turns only and makes several stops to adjust,

loosening the opposite side isn't usually needed.

just DON'T OVER TIGHTEN the struts

and always check it on a very straight section of roadway...

i usually touch the brake controller just as it rolls to a stop to pull the trailer back/into alignment.

Now that would make perfect sense to me because I did have to adjust the strut bars when I put them them back on. And they could be off just enough to make it pull to the right. Any guess which way it needs to be adjusted since it pulls to the right when I brake. My first guess would be the right side is shorter and the left side is longer now. Opinions?

As a matter of fact..the u-bolts arn't torqued at all, maybe some others

have had the same problem. Was tightening them in stages, at 45ft/lbs

three of the lock washers split...off to Home Depot for stainless replacements

2air mentioned that in the original pic's the strut bars weren't quite

parrallel, down to the third hole he said.

Well the first haha trip is in the books. Started well and ended even

better.
With the cargo doors of the Burb about a foot further away

we can now hook-up with them open. Using the Hitch'n Rods from

Camping World made it a back up 3 time experience.

Used a nearby vacant parking lot to get used to the different driving

techniques, and to take the four corner measurements for the wd bars.

Ended up at the center mark on the jack bar with three holes showing.

The Burb only needed a little over a one inch shift to the front axle on

a 50/50 split. With no wd we dropped from 36" to 34" measured at the

rear wheel wells. Tried several different settings on the drive home, but

the original seemed to be the most comfortable ride.

Used the NYS Thruway to Letchworth St. Park and the two lane country

roads on the way home. It was simply the BEST DAMN Stream ride I have

ever taken. It is just so nice to see that AS stay right behind the Burb.

Even on the exit ramps you'd look in the rv mirror and you still couldn't

see your rear clearance lights. Absolutely no sway at all, and the most

comfortable tv ride ever. Can't wait for the first "real" trip, 250mi just

not enough

Take a close look at my "one trip" main assembly. If thats powder

coat I'll eat your shirt, will need some attention over the winter for sure.

What do you all think an the wd bar deflection, looks a bit more than

two inches to me, but the ride was so good I always returned to that

setting!!

Been Stream'n for 18 yrs, and I feel this has been THE

best Investment I have made, both for safety and comfort.

good report. it IS quite the tow, that's for sure.

looks like you coated the U-bolts too?

nice.

the trailer nose looks a tad high, but on grass and in a pic that's only a guess.

did you measure the trailer for level as well as the burb?

you didn't mention brakes...

the haha/trailer should NOT push the tv at all when braking.

some have had to boost the controller to address this.

as to the crappy paint, it might be useful to apply 3-4 coats of automotive clearcoat.

it will reduce the orange fade significantly.

doubt it will help with chipping.
